My Favorite Image of 2010

Aline Smithson, who runs the blog Lenscratch, amassed over 400 images from photographers around the world. The criteria was to submit your favorite image of 2010 and every image submitted would be shown in a blog post on the first day of the new year. Usually, I would be nervous to submit any of my work, but this democratic experiment felt inclusive and objective; Every image is important simply because it holds so much value to the creator. I submitted my image because felt successful in what I am trying to say with my work, and I keep thinking ‘if only every image I made felt like this.’
